Inglis the poster child for cricket’s crazy calendar

Josh Inglis has become the embodiment of cricket’s crazy calendar, with his status as a first choice white ball player but also a fringe member of the Test squad handing him the toughest travel commission of any Australian player this summer.

Stand-in skipper Inglis’ demanding itinerary and multi-format duties make him highly unlikely to be considered for next week’s first Test against India, despite his inclusion in the 13-man squad for Perth, with his best chance to arrive later in the series.

It’s still eight days away from the start of Australia’s Test series against India. So, for an entrée, enjoy this three-match series against the touring Pakistan line-up, starting with game one in Brisbane. Games two and three will be held at the SCG (Saturday night) and Bellerive Oval in Hobart (Monday night) respectively.
