Highway patrol arrived and the driver of the Porsche allegedly went on the run, leading police into a car park, through the back entrance of a paint shop and out the front door.

He eventually gave himself up after the officer approached his position hiding behind a car with her gun drawn.

Paint shop worker Carmen Tran said it “happened so quickly”.

“The police were just right behind him as well, so I don’t think he could hide,” she said.

Police began the pursuit on Cabramatta Road West after seeing the luxury SUV, a grey Porsche Cayenne, speeding past, allegedly more than 30km/h over the limit.

The Porsche was also allegedly being driven unregistered, uninsured and with the number plates from an Audi Q7.

Police claim they found the man with the stolen keys of a motorbike and another car.
