Three teens, one man charged after found with allegedly stolen car in carpark
Four men, one as young as 13, have been charged after police found them allegedly running from a stolen car in Melbourne.
Officers received reports of four males wearing balaclavas and gloves inside a car in the Princes Highway car park at 8pm in Springvale.
Police arrived on scene and boxed in the allegedly stolen silver Nissan X Trail.
The car allegedly reversed at speed and collided with a police car behind it, before driving forward and crashing into a second police car.
Three boys were removed from the car and arrested while the fourth man ran from the scene.
Police chased the man down and arrested him in a nearby backyard.
The Nissan was allegedly stolen from a Clyde North home earlier in the week.
A 13, 14 and 16-year-old boy were charged with theft of a car and were bailed to appear in children’s court at a later date.
A 21-year-old man was charged with the theft of a motor vehicle.
He was bailed to appear before Dandenong Magistrates Court on April 30.
No one was injured.
