Brisbane 2032 venues to be revealed

Not everyone is pleased with the new 60,000-seat Olympic stadium, which is expected to be announced today.

The Queensland government could face a legal challenge, as protestors have threatened to halt the development of the project at Victoria Park.

Demonstrators took to the streets of the city over the weekend, arguing that the project will destroy valuable green space and should be stopped due to the site’s significance to First Nations communities.

The Save Victoria Park group has warned that they will brief barristers and explore various legal avenues to block the development in court.
