Never Stop Laughing At The Fascists

The Republican Party is cheering Trump along aggrandizing himself as a cultish, monarchic daddy figure for fascists, racists, and rapists, as well as, I’m sure, some fine people.
In this, the GOP is essentially endorsing monarchy by remaining spinelessly silent as Trump tests whether he can get away with ignoring whichever parts of the Constitution he finds obstructive to his con man scheme to dismantle the government and corruptly enrich himself selling off the parts to the highest, most oligarchic bidders — starting with his first customer, Elon Musk, who paid $250 million+ into Trump’s campaign.
What a fascist joke for a political party Republicans have become.
This is why I relentlessly write comedy about Trump, Musk, and the MAGA movement’s biggest blowhard brown-nosers clinging desperately to the coattails of MAGA for the embarrassingly little scraps and pitiful proximity to power Trump absentmindedly lets them have as long as when they watch him strut around on the golf course in his orange clown makeup with a birdnest of fake hair they don’t forget to pretend not to notice the cheating, and clap their hands, and tell him with preposterous hubris that he’s a more accomplished and manly president than Lincoln, Washington, and all the others combined.
This is why I mock mock Donald Trump virtually every day: he’s a fucking idiot in every manner except for his savant-like, reptilian instinct for bullying people, taking credit for everything good, and improvising excuses to avoid taking responsibility for anything bad.
I write comedy about him because he’s a narcissistic drama queen, and we have four more years to endure of him exhaustively politicizing and dividing America all day, every day.
Another four years of his fucking up everything with dumbass, wannabe-king executive orders signed in his big dumb markers between trips to Florida to lord over the sycophantic hangers-on at Mar-a-Lago, and do his jerking-off-two-guys-at-once dance move to the cacophony of their North Korea-esque praise.
Another four years of a cabinet and federal bureaucracy full of morons who hate the government and the people who competently run it because they don’t understand any of it.
If I didn’t write satire about all this, I’d lose my mind doomscrolling through his presidency. It’s gonna be a long four years. Already the dumbfuck won’t stop bringing up that he should get a third term. It’s literally in the Constitution he can’t, but this guy wants all the power. He literally wants to be a king.
And American ain’t about that. America tells kings to go fuck themselves.
That’s what The Halfway Post is all about. Laughing at Donald Trump, and pointing out all the ways he’s a ridiculous joke. Comedy is cathartic in fascist eras, and the more absurdities he subjects us too, the more absurdities I’ll write about him. Fascists win when we stop laughing at them. If I’m sent to the camps I’ll know I earned it, and what better compliment from a fascist than having your name included on the purging rolls?

I also just published my second political comedy book: Satire In The Biden Years. It’s available on Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and Kobo for $20 in print and $3 for an ebook. It likely has more Trump jokes per page than any other book out there — except for my first book, Satire In The Trump Years.
They say write the books you want to read, and that’s definitely what I did. They’re both 250+ pages full of my warped, extremely liberal sense of humor, and are crammed as full of jokes about the stain Trump has been on presidential history as is typographically possible.
Thanks for reading my comedy, and laughing at the fascists with me.
It’s a republic, if we can keep it.
