Eight sought after woman knocked out at football match
Two people were allegedly attacked at a stadium on Edwin Flack Avenue at Sydney Olympic Park at about 8.15pm on Sunday, April 6.
Bystanders and security intervened, and the alleged attackers left the scene shortly after.
Police were told a 21-year-old woman was knocked unconscious while a 21-year-old man was attacked trying to protect her.
The woman was taken to hospital with facial injuries and for further tests.
Police have now released images of eight people they believe can assist with their inquiries.
All are described as being of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance, and aged in their 20s.
Person 1 is is described as being a man of medium build, with black hair, black beard, black glasses, and at the time was wearing a hooded jacket.
Person 2 is described as being a man of large build, with a black beard, no moustache, and at the time was wearing a black and white hat, light-blue hooded jumper, black pants and black sneakers.
Person 3 is described as being a man of large build, with ear-length black hair, full black beard, and at the time was wearing black shorts, white shoes, a black and white checkered jacket with a football jersey around his neck.
Person 4 is described as being a man of medium build with black hair faded at the rear, goatee-style beard, and at the time was wearing a football jersey, black pants and white shoes.
Person 5 is described as being a woman of medium build and at the time was wearing a beige headscarf, black glasses, a black football jersey, black pants, and a long-sleeved black shirt underneath the jersey.
Person 6 is described as being a woman of medium build at the time wearing a navy headscarf, black shirt, black pants, and black and white sneakers.
Person 7 is described as being a woman of medium build with red hair who at the time was wearing a white football jersey, a football scarf, blue jeans, and black shoes.
Person 8 is described as being a woman of small build with mid-length black hair who and at the time was wearing a blue football jersey, blue jeans, and white shoes.
