Man dies after being stabbed during fight in Chapel Street

A man has died after he was stabbed during a fight in Chapel Street in Melbourne’s inner south-east on Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called after reports a man was injured during an altercation about 1.30am in Prahran.

The victim, who is yet to be formally identified, was taken to hospital but died there.

No arrests have been made. Homicide squad detectives are investigating.

Chapel Street was closed on Sunday morning between Commercial Road and High Street as police investigated.
