Year 12 exams kick off across two states today

The exams kick off with all students sitting one of the compulsory subjects English Advanced, Standard, English Studies or EAL/D at 9.50am, followed by various language exams this afternoon.

The much-anticipated exams will wrap up on November 8 with the final subject, Geography, finishing at 12.30pm.

Students in Victoria are also beginning their written exams today, although major subjects such as English and Mathematics won’t be held until Tuesday, October 29, and Friday, November 1, respectively.

The Victorian Certificate of Education exams run until November 20.

In Queensland, Year 12s will commence their QCAA exams next Monday October 21, with English and Visual Art.

However, it will be a long wait for students across Australia hoping to gain university entrance, with ATAR results to be released on December 19.
