Is your membership good value? We count the cost of joining an AFL club in 2025

As pre-season training ramps up and the new AFL season fast approaches, here is a look at what each club offers its members in 2025.
Merchandise, club shop discounts, voting rights and special events are among the perks, while digital members can access Kayo (in Australia) or Watch AFL (for international fans) as part of their packs.
Please note this is just a taste of the offerings; check each club’s membership websites for full details and prices. All prices are for adult memberships unless otherwise specified.
Adelaide
Best value: The Vic Ultimate, $289. Gives general admission access to Crows matches at the MCG, Marvel Stadium and GMHBA Stadium plus access to additional MCG games (in AFL reserve) to a total of 11 games. Also allows general admission access to three home games and includes an invitation to 2025 Victorian members’ day.
Cheapest: Season general admission, $289. Provides access to general admission bays or the Adelaide Oval hill for all Crows home matches.
Most expensive: Western Stand reserved seat, $779 (sold out with a waiting list). Members get a reserved seat for all home games and priority access to purchase finals tickets if the Crows make it.
Things to look out for: Crows memberships also include free admission to the club’s SANFL matches along with all finals, including the grand final.

Brisbane Lions
Best value: Prime reserved seat, $475. Members get a reserved seat for all home matches at the Gabba.
Cheapest: General admission, $209. Provides general admission entry for all home matches at the Gabba as well as free public transport to and from the ground.
Most expensive: “Gabba Grounds”, $1350 (sold out). For 11 home games, members get access to private bars, new eats and cocktails. You can wear your footy gear but no thongs.
Things to look out for: The Lions have a “go green” option, where members who skip their physical membership pack get a $30 voucher for the club shop.

Carlton
Best value: Member Zone, $325. Gives access to level one walk-up reserved bays for all home games (subject to capacity), plus priority one access to purchase a finals ticket if Carlton makes it.
Cheapest: Three-game access, $99. Provides general admission access to three Carlton home games and priority-two access to purchase a ticket to finals if the Blues make it.
Most expensive: Legends Lounge, from $1095 (sold out, waitlisted). Members get a premium level-two seat on the wing for all home games and a guaranteed opportunity to purchase grand final ticket if Carlton make it. Also provides priority-one access to purchase finals tickets and access to function rooms to watch games.
Things to look out for: The Blues have a Charlie’s Crew membership pack for children that includes a general admission pass and distinct member packs for kids aged 5-9 or 10-14, plus a birthday card and an invitation to an exclusive junior footy clinic.

Collingwood
Best value: General admission, home and away, $420. Gives general admission access to all home-and-away games in Melbourne (subject to capacity) but does not include fully ticketed games. Members also get a discounted reserve seat for Anzac Day and access to finals tickets, as well as priority three access for grand final tickets, if the Pies make it.
Cheapest: General admission, $245. Gives general admission access to all home games at the MCG and Marvel Stadium, subject to capacity. Members also get a discounted reserved seat for Anzac Day, plus access to purchase finals tickets and priority three access to grand final tickets if Collingwood make it.
Most expensive: Club 1892, $1999 (sold out, waiting list). Provides a reserved seat for all home games and level two reserved seat for all away games at the MCG and Marvel, excluding games against Hawthorn and Richmond. Guaranteed access to purchase a grand final ticket and access to finals tickets if Collingwood make it.
Things to look out for: Like many clubs, the Magpies have an international membership. Theirs is called “Global Insider”, which for $199, gives overseas fans a subscription to the Watch AFL service and a $30 voucher for the club shop.

Essendon
Best value: Flexi home and away, $330. Gives general admission access to all home-and-away games in Melbourne, plus access to members’ presale for finals if Essendon participate. Members also get an opportunity to reserve a seat for Anzac Day.
Cheapest: Flexi Eight, $235. Provides general admission access to eight home or away games in Melbourne, access to members’ presale for finals if the Bombers make it. Members also get an opportunity to reserve a seat for Anzac Day.
Most expensive: High Mark, $1195 (at capacity, waiting list). Members get a level two reserved seat for home games at Marvel Stadium and best available MCG seating for home games as well as general admission access for away games in Melbourne. Also provides access to finals tickets and guaranteed access to the grand final if the Dons make it.
Things to look out for: There is an Essendon Women’s Network add-on for members, $55, which offers early bird discount pricing for network events. The club also has $245 guaranteed grand final ticket access, if Essendon participate, to add to memberships at the “flexi eight” level and above.

Fremantle
Best value: Melbourne membership, $130. Gives general admission access to five Melbourne games as well as priority two access to finals and grand final tickets, if the Dockers make it.
Cheapest: Three game pass, $109. Provides access to three home games, excluding derbies, and priority two access to finals tickets and grand final tickets, if the Dockers makes it.
Most expensive: Sports lounge, $1449 (sold out, waiting list). Members get a padded reserve sports lounge seat for all home games at Optus Stadium, plus exclusive access to the lounge. They also get priority one access to finals tickets and grand final tickets, if Fremantle make it.
Things to look out for: The Dockers offer memberships to fans in New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland for $99 with access to the game in that state plus general admission for two home games.

Geelong
Best value: Home and away, $395. Gives general admission access to all Cats games in Victoria, subject to availability. Also provides priority access to buy a finals ticket and priority two access to buy a grand final ticket, if the Cats make it.
Cheapest: New Recruits, $99. Includes two general admission tickets to Cats home games and a special event for those members with the club’s new recruit players that was held on January 14.
Most expensive: 1859 membership, $1485 (register interest). This is a new premium pack with level two seating, bar, dining, and lounge experiences at every Victorian Cats game. Provides priority access to purchase tickets to Geelong finals, including the grand final, as well as general admission access to away games in Victoria, subject to availability.
Things to look out for: The Cats are celebrating two centenaries in 2025 as they will reach 100 years since their first VFL premiership win in 1925 and 100 years of being sponsored by Ford.

Gold Coast
Best value: Silver, $325. Members get a reserved seat for home games on the Gold Coast, general admission access to the QClash game at the Gabba, subject to capacity, and access to purchase a ticket for the Suns’ Darwin home game. They also get priority two access to purchase finals tickets if Suns make it.
Cheapest: General admission, $230. Provides general admission access to all Suns games on the Gold Coast, general admission access to the QClash game at the Gabba, subject to capacity, and access to purchase a ticket for the Darwin home game as well as priority two access to purchase finals tickets, if the Suns make it.
Most expensive: Platinum membership, $830 (waitlist). This provides a reserved seat at all Suns games on the Gold Coast, general admission access to the QClash at the Gabba, subject to capacity, access to purchase a ticket for their home game in Darwin and priority one access to purchase finals tickets, if the Suns make it.
Things to look out for: All Suns memberships will include free travel on match days across the Queensland rail, bus, light rail network.

GWS
Best value: Sydney Gold Giant, $420. Includes a gold reserve seat for all home games at Engie Stadium, plus priority access to purchase finals tickets and one grand final ticket, if the Giants make it.
Cheapest: Three-game general admission, $95. Provides general admission access to three home games, plus priority access to purchase finals tickets and priority three access to a grand final ticket, subject to the Giants making it.
Most expensive: “Ultimate Giant”, $680. Includes a reserved seat for every game at Engie Stadium and Manuka Ova, plus priority access to purchase finals tickets and one grand final ticket, subject to the Giants playing.
Things to look out for: Giants membership packs include high vis vests in 2025. They also include access to the Sydney Royal Easter Show on select dates.

Hawthorn
Best value: Ponsford Membership, $475 adult, $595 home and away. Reserve seat on level two for MCG home games, exclusive access to the Harrison Room, four replacement away games in GA or home games in Tasmania. Priority access for finals tickets.
Cheapest: Three-game membership, $120 adult. Perfect for new members who can get general admission into three games, subject to capacity. Priority access to purchase finals tickets should Hawthorn make it.
Most expensive: Lethal Club $2100 adult (waitlist). Reserve seats to all Melbourne home games, access to four Melbourne away games and GA access to Tasmanian home games. Access to grand final ticket should Hawks make it.
Things to look out for: The Hawks are celebrating their VFL/AFL centenary including a celebration game against Richmond at the MCG in round eight and a special family day in February.
Melbourne
Best value: Red and Blue Home and Away, $405 adult. GA access to all home and away games at MCG and Marvel Stadium. Priority access to buy finals tickets if Demons make it.
Cheapest: Three-game flexi membership $120 adult. Three GA tickets to MCG home games. Priority access to buy finals tickets if Demons make it.
Most expensive: Legends $1370 (waitlisted). Premium Level two seat for MCG home games. GA to away games in Melbourne. Guaranteed grand final ticket access if Demons makes it.
Things to look out for: Members need to opt in if they want their member merchandise pack, which includes a scarf and bumper sticker.
North Melbourne
Best value: 11 game GA $259 adult. GA seating at Marvel Stadium, access to replacement games, GA access to Hobart games.
Cheapest: Three-game GA $99 adult. Level three GA seating for three Melbourne home games. Member pack or $30 Roo shop voucher.
Most expensive: Arden Lounge $2400 adult. Fully inclusive match day event in Horizon Room, level two reserve seating. Premium dining, beverage options. Invite to two President’s Functions.
Things to look out for: The Roos have a WA membership for their two games in Perth for $249 adult which includes a member function and the option to redeem a guest ticket for both games.
Port Adelaide
Best value: 11 game general admission $275 adult. GA entry for 11 Power home games, membership pack or $50 club store voucher, priority access for finals tickets if Port is playing.
Cheapest: Three-game membership $125 adult. Pick any three Power home games. Priority access for finals tickets if Port is playing.
Most expensive: MG Suite One $5990 adult. Exclusive access to Riverbank Stand Level three. Grazing catering at half-time. Three course fine dining menu pregame. Premium five-hour drinks package. Comfortable leather seat in the room.
Things to look out for: The Power have a Victorian membership for 11 games in Victoria which includes their away games in the state plus a selection of games at the MCG.
Richmond
Best value: Punt Road Boundary $390 adult plus add-ons. Reserved seat to all Tigers home games. Option to add on away game access. Finals ticket priority access if Tigers make it.
Cheapest: Dreamtime/Blockbuster membership, $110 adult. Level four reserved seat to Dreamtime at the G or Anzac eve plus general admission to three other home games. Member pack and priority finals ticket access.
Most expensive: Club XIII $2095 adult. Level two reserved bay seat. Guaranteed grand final access. GA access to away games in Melbourne. Access to Harrison function room, Maurice Rioli Club. Invitation to pre-game briefing from coaching staff and mid-season review with the senior coach.
Things to look out for: The Tigers have a new three-game “Roaming Tiger” membership. The Dreamtime membership is new in 2025.
St Kilda
Best value: Ultimate level two reserved, $635. One of the most affordable level two packages at Marvel. Reserved seat for 11 home games.
Cheapest: Three-game general admission, $109 adult. General admission access to all Saints home games.
Most expensive: Ultimate Level Two reserved, $996 adult. Level two seat for all home games. GA admission to all away games. Guaranteed chance to purchase grand final ticket and finals ticket if Saints play.
Things to look out for: The Saints have a new loyalty program for junior members which includes discounted holiday clinics, exclusive game-day experiences, and more. Members with 40+ years receive 40 per cent off team store and priority access to purchase grand final tickets, if Saints make it.
Sydney
Best value: Vic Ultimate, $218 adult. General admission tickets to all Swans games at Marvel Stadium and MCG plus GA access to any three SCG games.
Cheapest: Red 5, $245 adult (waitlisted). Red-zone entry for any five SCG home games. Priority finals ticket access.
Most expensive: Redback Platinum 11, $1379 adult (Limited to 200, waitlisted). Platinum seating for all SCG home games. Exclusive coaches briefing pre-game. Guaranteed grand final ticket access, finals tickets concierge service.
Things to look out for: The Swans have opened a new base near South Melbourne Market. The club will again host its Match Day Mingle early in the season; a singles event on game day.
West Coast
Best value: E Reserve seat, $450 adult (sold out). Reserved seat for 11 home games. Priority two grand final ballot access if Eagles make it. $25 store voucher.
Cheapest: Flexi three-game, $121 adult. Entry to three home games at Optus Stadium, $25 store voucher, free entry to all Eagles WAFL games.
Most expensive: Club 87, $1735 adult. Access to sports bar style function room, Premium reserve seat on level three centre wing south for 11 home games. Priority-one grand final ballot access should Eagles make it.
Things to look out for: Victorian gold memberships $105 adult. GA entry to all Eagles matches in Melbourne plus priority access to buy finals tickets if Eagles make it.
Western Bulldogs
Best value: Flexi nine home games, $335 adult. Level-one seats and ability to pick your games, your seat and even add in extras like Grand Final ticket access or functions.
Cheapest: New Recruit or General Admission, both $99 adult. Three home games in GA level three at Marvel Stadium. Member pack and finals ticket access. New Recruit has a special function included.
Most expensive: Westerners with all Victorian games $3850 adult. The Dogs offer a bit of customisation with their premium pack but this one includes every Victorian game plus a guaranteed grand final seat if the team makes it. Plus a President’s function seat as well as a match seat.
Things to look out for: The Dogs have a rare MCG home game against Collingwood in round two for their 100-year game.
